Hospital Sitting Services

Houston Strong Children Services has contracted with several providers including DFPS to offer hospital sitting services 24/7 with same-day services available. Hospital sitting services are a type of caregiving service where trained professionals stay with the patient in a hospital setting to provide companionship, support, and assistance with basic needs such as eating, bathing, and toileting.

The purpose of hospital sitting services is to ensure the safety and comfort of the patient while they are receiving medical treatment, awaiting admission into the psychiatric hospital, or recovering from an illness or surgery.

DFPS caseworkers can request sitters by submitting a 2054 and the 5612 forms to intake@houstonstrongcpa.org. These forms can be found in our Forms center on the website. All other providers must call the office or After-Hours number to request services.
